About Kirsten

Kirsten Becker (1998-) is an accomplished classical pianist, composer, music teacher, and chamber musician residing in southern New Hampshire. She performed her first full length classical piano concert for friends and family at the age of twelve and was a featured performer at various events through her high school education, including the Plymouth State University Contemporary Piano Festival, the West Claremont Center for Music and the Arts Summer Concert Series, and Keene State College's President’s Outstanding Women of NH Award Ceremony. She holds a degree in piano performance from Keene State College in southern New Hampshire, graduating summa cum laude. During her education at Keene State, she received the 2017 KSC Music Talent Scholarship, 2018 Presser Scholar Award, and 2020 Keene State College Instrumentalist of the Year award. She was also a featured performer, speaker and advocate for the All-Steinway All Together fundraising campaign, which made it possible for Keene State College to earn the prestigious designation of an All-Steinway School.

Kirsten is a fresh voiced composer with over seventy original works, including art songs, choral music and chamber music for piano, strings, woodwinds and concert band. She is a creator and producer of two original albums, her debut album being Watercolor Sky (2019) for solo piano. She has recorded and performed extensively in the New England region under the name "The Becker Sisters", with her collaborative partner, soprano Alyssa Choquette. Their album of original art songs, "Love and Thought", is available on major streaming platforms. Her four-hands piano work "The Mirror Suite" was recently debuted in 2022 at the "All Steinway, All Together Gala" in Keene, New Hampshire.

Kirsten is a skilled and experienced collaborative pianist. She has served many choral programs in New Hampshire, including Viva Bach Peterborough Festival, Chamber Singers of Keene, Dublin Christian Academy, Monadnock Waldorf School, Fall Mountain High School, Keene Middle School, and Newport Middle School.
