Composer's Notes: The text of this piece takes us into the spiritual realm, where the singer is wishing for the beauty and peace of heaven. I tried to contrast the pain and grief that can be experienced on earth with the ethereal mystery of a hopeful future.  The piano accompaniment is marked by a predicable 8th note pulse throughout, and the vocal writing enjoys some dramatic octave leaps.
