Composer's Notes: I wrote The Last Petal on Thanksgiving Day 2018, which strikes me as kind of funny looking back!  This melancholy little piece is simple but one of my favorites. Don't be tempted to rush through it.  Squeeze all the emotion you can out of each moment, and savor the mood changes.  (The title was maybe inspired by Beauty and the Beast... don't judge me.) :)
